The Robertson Rottie Ranch, LLC is a small ranch and agricultural operation located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

We offer agricultural, botanical, educational, ornamental, and ranch-related products.

Mountain Moon Apothecary is the botanical and herb-growing product line of The Robertson Rottie Ranch, LLC. Products bearing the Mountain Moon Apothecary name are sold and fulfilled by The Robertson Rottie Ranch, LLC unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Eligibility to Use the Store

By using this website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or jurisdiction, or that you are using the website with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Many of our products are live, agricultural, natural, handmade, or individually harvested. Natural variations may occur in:

Listing photographs are representative examples unless the description expressly states that the customer will receive the exact item pictured.

4. Product Availability

Products may be purchased only when they are marked available through our online store.

Live plants, hatching eggs, and other seasonal products may become unavailable because of:

Seasonal temperatures
Severe weather
Flock production
Plant growth or dormancy
Inventory limitations
Shipping restrictions
Other fulfillment or safety considerations

When we are not actively accepting and fulfilling orders for an affected product, it will be marked unavailable for purchase.

We do not intentionally accept orders during planned seasonal shipping blackouts for products that cannot be fulfilled.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact the customer. If we cannot fulfill the affected item within a reasonable period, the customer may choose a full refund for the unshipped item.

5. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance.

We may decline, limit, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including when:

A product is unavailable
A price or listing contains a material error
Payment cannot be authorized
The shipping destination is unsupported
The order appears fraudulent
The order violates these terms or an applicable policy
Shipping the product would violate an agricultural restriction or other law

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a refund for the canceled portion to the original payment method.

Customers are responsible for reviewing their order details, shipping address, and contact information before completing checkout.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in United States dollars unless otherwise stated.

Applicable shipping charges, taxes, and other required costs will be displayed during checkout before the customer completes the purchase.

The customer authorizes the selected payment provider to charge the total amount shown at checkout.

We may correct an obvious pricing or listing error before fulfillment. If an error materially affects an existing order, we will contact the customer and provide the option to proceed under the corrected terms or receive a refund.

7. Hatching Eggs

Hatching eggs are live, perishable agricultural products.

Fertility within our breeding flocks is monitored regularly. However, we cannot guarantee:

The fertility of each individual egg
A specific fertility percentage
Hatch rates
Chick viability during or after hatching
Specific traits, sex, appearance, or future egg color unless expressly stated

Shipping conditions, carrier handling, temperature, humidity, incubation practices, incubator calibration, and conditions after delivery may affect results.

Hatching-egg refunds, cancellations, shipping damage, seller errors, and fulfillment issues are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

8. Live Plant Cuttings

Unless expressly described otherwise, our plant-cutting listings are for unrooted plant material rather than established, rooted plants.

Successful rooting and future performance depend on conditions that include:

Shipping and transit temperatures
Prompt unpacking
Water quality
Propagation method
Light
Moisture
Climate
Growing medium
Customer handling and ongoing care

We cannot guarantee rooting success, rooting time, future growth, winter survival, flowering, harvest quantity, fragrance, flavor, coloration, or variegation intensity.

Customers must review and follow the arrival and propagation instructions displayed in the applicable product listing.

Leafy cuttings should generally be placed in clean, room-temperature water for at least 48 hours after delivery. They should remain in water or water-supplied rockwool until several healthy roots have developed and the roots are at least two inches long before being transplanted into soil.

Succulent cuttings may require different care. Customers should follow the product-specific instructions displayed in the applicable listing.

Plant-cutting refunds, arrival damage, seller errors, and fulfillment issues are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Culinary and Botanical Information

Descriptions of traditional, culinary, aromatic, or historical uses are provided for general educational and product-identification purposes.

Our products and website content are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and are not substitutes for medical, veterinary, nutritional, agricultural, or legal advice.

Customers are responsible for:

Confirming personal suitability before using botanical material
Properly identifying and preparing products
Washing culinary plant material before use

Keeping unsuitable plants away from children and animals

10. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery dates and carrier transit times are estimates rather than guarantees. Weather, holidays, transportation interruptions, and carrier operations may affect delivery.

The Robertson Rottie Ranch, LLC remains responsible for addressing approved seller errors, confirmed lost shipments, and approved shipping-damage claims as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

Customers are responsible for:

Providing a complete and accurate shipping address
Monitoring tracking information
Retrieving packages promptly after delivery

Customers are responsible for confirming that a plant, seed, egg, agricultural product, or botanical product can legally be shipped to and possessed at the destination.

We may decline or cancel an order if we determine that fulfillment could violate an agricultural restriction, carrier rule, or applicable law.

A canceled item that cannot legally or safely be shipped will be refunded if payment has already been collected.

13. Acceptable Website Use

You agree not to:
