Autumnalis is inspired by the autumn equinox, when day and night return briefly to balance and the landscape begins its deeper turn inward.
Created as part of The Seasonal Turning Collection, Autumnalis reflects maturity, release, gratitude, grounding, and the quiet shift from outward abundance toward rest and reflection.
September 21 marks the symbolic balance point between light and dark as the year begins its descent toward winter. Autumnalis was created for that moment of pause: a time to recognize what has been gathered, release what is no longer needed, and begin turning inward.
Its botanical infusion combines goldenrod flowering tops, garden sage leaf, burdock root, and dandelion root, creating one of the deepest, most grounded profiles in the collection.
Each bottle begins with botanicals grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, then carefully harvested, dried, and prepared by our Master Herbalist.
The botanicals are slowly infused using our traditional seven-hour slow-heat process, allowing time and gentle warmth to become part of the preparation.
There are no essential oils and no added fragrance.
What remains is the natural character of the whole botanicals themselves: earthy, rooted, herbal, mature, and distinctly autumnal.

Chosen for their unmistakable late-summer and early-autumn character, marking the landscape’s shift toward gold and the beginning of seasonal maturity.
Garden Sage Leaf

Carrier Oil Blend
Autumnalis is created with:
Moringa Oil • Sesame Oil • Castor Oil • Mixed Tocopherols
This blend was designed to give Autumnalis more body and slower slip than the earlier seasonal oils while remaining fluid enough for controlled, drop-by-drop ritual use.
Castor oil is intentionally used as the smallest portion of the blend so the finished oil retains richness without becoming overly thick.

The Mountain Apothecary is built around a simple principle: our botanicals should begin where the products themselves are made.
The goldenrod, sage, burdock, dandelion, and other botanicals used throughout our ritual collections are grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
They are carefully harvested, dried, and preserved until they are ready for infusion.
Each batch is prepared by our Master Herbalist using whole botanicals, thoughtfully selected oils, gentle heat, and time.
Because we work with real plants, natural differences in color, aroma, and appearance may occur from one harvest and batch to another.
We consider those variations part of genuine small-batch botanical work.
The Seven-Hour Infusion
Every Autumnalis batch undergoes a seven-hour slow-heat botanical infusion.
The process is deliberately simple:
Whole botanicals.
Carefully selected oils.
Gentle heat.
Seven hours.
Time and intention.
There are faster ways to make an oil.
We deliberately choose the slower one.
How to Use
Apply a small amount to the hands or pulse points before meditation, prayer, journaling, reflection, gratitude work, intention setting, or seasonal ritual.
Autumnalis may also be used to anoint personal objects, candles, written intentions, altar items, keepsakes, or other meaningful objects connected with balance, release, gratitude, and grounding.
A single drop may be enough for many ritual uses.
