The Seasonal Turning Collection was created to follow the natural rhythm of the year from the first subtle stirring of late winter through spring emergence, summer abundance, the first harvest, autumn descent, remembrance, and the longest night of winter.
Each 10 mL Ritual Oil has its own botanical profile, carrier-oil blend, texture, seasonal symbolism, and ritual focus.
Every formula is prepared in small batches by our Master Herbalist using whole botanicals that are grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
The botanicals are slowly infused using our traditional seven-hour slow-heat process, allowing gentle warmth and time to become part of the preparation.
There are no essential oils, no added fragrance, and no artificial color.
The identity of each oil comes from the whole botanicals themselves.

Botanical Character
The collection intentionally changes as the year changes.
First Light begins with fresh, pale-green botanicals such as nettle, chickweed, birch, and lemon balm.
Vernalis moves into vigorous spring growth with violet leaf, cleavers, plantain, and red clover.
In Bloom opens into the lush floral character of rose, honeysuckle, elderflower, and chamomile.
Solaris reaches the height of summer with calendula, sunflower, yarrow, and mullein.
First Harvest becomes more substantial and field-grown with oat tops, blackberry leaf, raspberry leaf, and rosemary.
Autumnalis turns downward into goldenrod, sage, burdock root, and dandelion root.
Veil moves deeper inward with mugwort, bay, skullcap, and tulsi.
Noctis completes the cycle with pine, juniper, hawthorn, and spruce.
No two formulas are built the same.
The botanicals, oils, texture, and overall character of each formula were chosen to reflect its particular place within the turning year.

The Mountain Apothecary is built around a simple principle: our botanicals should begin where the products themselves are made.
The herbs, flowers, leaves, roots, berries, and evergreen botanicals used throughout The Seasonal Turning Collection are grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
They are carefully harvested, dried, and preserved until they are ready for infusion.
Each batch is prepared by our Master Herbalist using whole botanicals, thoughtfully selected carrier oils, gentle heat, and time.
Because we work with real plants rather than standardized fragrance blends, natural differences in color, aroma, and appearance may occur from one harvest and batch to another.
We consider those variations part of genuine small-batch botanical work.
The Seven-Hour Infusion
Every oil in The Seasonal Turning Collection undergoes a seven-hour slow-heat botanical infusion.
The process is deliberately simple:
Whole botanicals.
Carefully selected oils.
Gentle heat.
Seven hours.
Time and intention.
There are faster ways to make an oil.
We deliberately choose the slower one.
The number seven also carries longstanding spiritual and symbolic associations with completion, wholeness, and sacred cycles, making the seven-hour process especially fitting for a collection centered on the turning year.
How to Use
Use each oil during its corresponding point in the seasonal cycle, or choose whichever formula reflects the season, symbolism, or intention you are working with at the moment.
Apply a small amount to the hands or pulse points before meditation, prayer, journaling, reflection, creative work, gratitude practice, remembrance, or intention setting.
The oils may also be used to anoint personal objects, candles, written intentions, altar items, keepsakes, or other meaningful objects incorporated into seasonal or spiritual practice.
A single drop may be enough for many ritual uses.
