Everyday botanical care, grown from the mountain up.

Meadow was created for the simple, everyday ritual of caring for skin before it starts asking for more attention.

Part of our Mountain Botanical Body Oils collection, Meadow begins with calendula flowers, clover blossoms, chamomile, and yarrow grown organically or responsibly wildcrafted here on our mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

The botanicals are harvested in small batches, carefully dried, and then slowly infused with gentle, controlled heat into a smooth blend of high-oleic sunflower, jojoba, and sweet almond oils.

Rather than simply blending carrier oils and adding fragrance, Meadow follows an older apothecary tradition: whole botanicals, carefully selected oils, gentle warmth, and time.

Each batch undergoes a seven-hour slow heat infusion, allowing the botanical material to steep gradually into the carrier oils and become part of the finished blend.

There is something wonderfully simple about the process. No artificial fragrance trying to imitate flowers in a field. No shortcuts. Just real botanicals, nourishing oils, gentle heat, and seven unhurried hours.

The result is a silky, lightweight botanical body oil with an easy glide that feels especially well suited to everyday use.

High-oleic sunflower, jojoba, and sweet almond oils help soften and condition the feel of the skin without giving Meadow the heavier character of some of the richer oils in the collection.

Apply a little to slightly damp skin after bathing, or take a quiet moment to massage Meadow into hands, arms, legs, and feet whenever skin feels dry or in need of a little extra care.

FROM OUR MOUNTAIN

Our botanicals begin close to home.

Calendula, clover, chamomile, yarrow, and the other plants used throughout The Mountain Apothecary are grown or responsibly gathered in season, then carefully dried and stored until they are ready for a new batch.

Working with real plants means no two harvests are perfectly identical.

The color may deepen. The natural aroma may shift subtly. The plants themselves may look a little different from one season to the next.

We consider those small variations part of the beauty of genuine small-batch botanical work.

EXPLORE THE COLLECTION

Meadow is one of four oils in our Mountain Botanical Body Oils Collection.

Wildwood is our richest blend, featuring calendula, plantain, violet, and chickweed.

Ember is a substantial massage oil with ginger, calendula, and cayenne, inspired by the warm colors of autumn on the mountain.

Stillwater is our quiet evening blend, featuring lavender, lemon balm, chamomile, and catnip.

Each oil has its own character, but all four are created using the same small-batch, seven-hour slow heat infusion process and contain no added fragrance or essential oils.
