Mountain Veil is the lightest facial oil in The Mountain Apothecary Veil Collection, created for those who want botanical moisture and softness without a heavy finish.

Each bottle begins with whole calendula, violet, and German chamomile, grown organically or responsibly wildcrafted here on our mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia by our Master Herbalist.

The botanicals are slowly infused using our traditional seven-hour slow-heat process, then blended with thoughtfully selected facial oils to create a light, silky finish.

There are no essential oils and no added fragrance.

The subtle aroma comes only from the whole botanicals and natural oils themselves.

Botanical Profile

Calendula
Traditionally valued in herbal skin preparations and chosen for its gentle, skin-friendly character.

Violet
A delicate botanical traditionally incorporated into preparations for dry and tender-feeling skin.

German Chamomile
Long used in traditional herbal skin preparations and especially suited to gentle botanical formulations.

Jojoba Oil
A lightweight, silky oil widely used in facial-care formulations.

High-Oleic Sunflower Oil
A smooth, emollient botanical oil that provides a soft base for the infusion.

Watermelon Seed Oil
A light-feeling botanical oil that helps give Mountain Veil its elegant finish.

Squalane
A lightweight emollient that helps soften and condition the feel of the skin.

Red Raspberry Seed Oil
A richly colored botanical oil used to round out the facial-oil blend.

Vitamin E / Mixed Tocopherols
Included as an antioxidant to help protect the quality of the carrier oils.

From the Mountain

The Mountain Apothecary is built around a simple principle: whenever possible, our botanicals should begin where the products themselves are made.

The calendula, violet, chamomile, and other botanicals used in our preparations are grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, then carefully harvested and dried for use in our small-batch formulations.

Each batch is prepared by our Master Herbalist using whole botanicals, thoughtfully selected oils, gentle heat, and time.

Because we work with real plants, natural differences in color and aroma may occur from one harvest and batch to another.

We consider those variations part of genuine small-batch botanical work.

How to Use

After cleansing, place 2–4 drops into clean fingertips and gently press or massage into slightly damp skin.

Use alone or as the final step in your facial-care routine.

A little goes a long way.
