Solaris is inspired by the summer solstice, the point in the year when the sun reaches its height and the landscape stands in full expression.
Created as part of The Seasonal Turning Collection, Solaris reflects warmth, vitality, abundance, confidence, and the fullness of the season.
June 21 marks the height of the solar year: the season of longest light, vigorous growth, blooming fields, ripening crops, and outward expression. Solaris was created around that sense of fullness and the symbolic power of standing fully in the light.
Its botanical infusion combines calendula flower, sunflower petals, yarrow flowering tops, and mullein flower, creating the most explicitly golden and solar botanical profile in the collection.
Each bottle begins with botanicals grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, then carefully harvested, dried, and prepared by our Master Herbalist.
The botanicals are slowly infused using our traditional seven-hour slow-heat process, allowing time and gentle warmth to become part of the preparation.
There are no essential oils and no added fragrance.
What remains is the natural character of the whole botanicals themselves: warm, golden, earthy, field-grown, and unmistakably midsummer.

Chosen for its bright golden color and long traditional associations with warmth, sunlight, vitality, and seasonal abundance.
Sunflower Petals
An unmistakably solar botanical, reflecting light, strength, orientation toward the sun, and the height of summer.
Yarrow Flowering Tops
Adds a distinctly wild, field-grown character and brings depth to the otherwise bright floral profile.
Mullein Flower
Softens the blend with a pale golden botanical note that fits the full, sunlit character of midsummer.

Carrier Oil Blend
Solaris is created with:
High-Oleic Sunflower Oil • Safflower Oil • Pumpkin Seed Oil • Mixed Tocopherols
This carrier blend was chosen to reinforce the solar character of the formula while keeping the finished oil smooth, fluid, and easy to use.
High-oleic sunflower oil also provides greater oxidative stability than standard sunflower oil, making it well suited to a carefully crafted small-batch infusion.
From the Mountain
The Mountain Apothecary is built around a simple principle: our botanicals should begin where the products themselves are made.
The calendula, sunflower, yarrow, mullein, and other botanicals used throughout our ritual collections are grown organically here on our mountain or responsibly wildcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
They are carefully harvested, dried, and preserved until they are ready for infusion.
Each batch is prepared by our Master Herbalist using whole botanicals, thoughtfully selected oils, gentle heat, and time.
Because we work with real plants, natural differences in color, aroma, and appearance may occur from one harvest and batch to another.
We consider those variations part of genuine small-batch botanical work.
The Seven-Hour Infusion
Every Solaris batch undergoes a seven-hour slow-heat botanical infusion.
The process is deliberately simple:
Whole botanicals.
Carefully selected oils.
Gentle heat.
Seven hours.
Time and intention.
There are faster ways to make an oil.
We deliberately choose the slower one.
How to Use
Apply a small amount to the hands or pulse points before meditation, prayer, journaling, creative work, intention setting, or seasonal ritual.
Solaris may also be used to anoint personal objects, candles, written intentions, altar items, keepsakes, or other meaningful objects connected with confidence, abundance, courage, creativity, and forward movement.
A single drop may be enough for many ritual uses.
